ABOUT THE BAND

Formed as a group in December of 2004,"The Kid" quickly gained attention as a participant in KFOX 98.5's "Last Band Standing" contest. Playing covers of popular rock and their own originals, Billy the Kid has gone on to develop a loyal following and has played at various venues on the San Francisco Peninsula and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including community festivals, battles of the bands, night clubs and restaurants, as well as appearing on local TV and radio. The band has opened for such notables as The Tubes, the Greg Kihn Band, and the Syndicate of Sound, as well as San Francisco's own Rudy Columbini and the Unauthorized Rolling Stones.

The band's style of music is derived from their love of classic rock, indie, power-pop and alternative genres. Influences include the Beatles, Nirvana, Green Day, Rancid, the Rolling Stones, Weezer, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among many others.

"Nefarious Evildoings", an LP of twelve original songs, expresses the development of a personal style with wide appeal and a dedication to the best traditions of rock and roll.
